Dr. René Hägerling is Independent Research Group Leader at the Institute of Medical and Human Genetics at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Berlin Institute of Health Center for Regnerative Therapies. Dr. Hägerling completed his M.D. and Ph.D. work as well as his postdoctoral studies at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine. After working at St.George’s University of London as Clinical Research Fellow, he continued his medical speciality training in Human Genetics at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. His lab works at the interface of human genetics and pathology and is focused on understanding the underlying genetics and pathologies of lymphatic malformations and lymphovascular diseases.
